Our Process

We try to make it easy to order your letterpress invitations. After all, your wedding or event is supposed to be fun. It shouldn’t feel like work!

It starts with a Q & A

We chat on the phone, and ask a few key questions to help us get a sense of your design taste. We’ll talk about paper, ink, letterpress impression, and possibly about cupcakes. We love cupcakes.

Your Design or Our Design?

We love to design invitations for our customers. And we’re just as happy printing a design that you bring to us. If you’re new to letterpress, we can work with you or your designer to help you get the best results.

Now that we know the details, we’ll prepare a quote.

Price is determined by quantity, paper stock, amount of colors, components, finishing, and occasionally by design complexity. Though we quote every job individually, you can explore our Pricing page for approximate printing rates. Once you approve the estimate we send, we will accept your check or credit card for payment.

Proofs, then Printing.

If we’re printing a design you supplied to us, we’ll send you a .PDF proof for a final review. If we did the design, then it’s time to present our ideas to you. Either way, once approved, your job will be printed on one of our carefully-maintained, vintage letterpress machines.

Then we ship your invitations!

We carefully wrap your invitations and send them in a generously-padded shipping box. We prefer to ship with UPS, but can accommodate your preferences. Each quote includes free UPS Ground shipping. Overnight for quick-turnaround projects will be additional.
