What We Print

Letterpress Hang Tags

A letterpress printed hang tag is your product's signature of its inherent quality. It's the small detail that helps a product stand out on a shelf — to retailers and to the customer who picks it up.

What We Can Do

Choose one technique or combine several. Hang tags are small, so every detail reads — paper, impression, and finish all carry weight.

Letterpress A polymer plate presses into soft cotton paper or chipboard, leaving a deep, tactile impression. The mark is felt as much as seen.
Foil Stamping A heated metal die transfers metallic or pigment foil to the surface. Gold, rose gold, copper, silver, black, and more — in matte or glossy finishes.
Flat Printing Full-color digital printing for tags that call for photography, gradients, or detailed artwork that doesn't suit a relief technique.
Specialty Papers Thousands of stock options — heavy cotton, kraft, chipboard, and specialty boards — sourced to match the product.
Eyelets & String Holes Metal eyelets in a range of finishes, or simple punched string holes. We can tie strings on for you in custom colors and lengths.
Die-Cutting & Laser Cutting Custom shapes cut from a die, or laser cutting for finer detail and a more boutique look. Rounded corners are also available as a standard finish.
Cotton letterpress hang tag with brass eyelet

Cotton stock with a brass eyelet

Heavy cotton paper takes a deep letterpress impression and gives a hang tag a substantial feel — closer to a small card than a label. A brass or metal eyelet finishes the string hole and reinforces it for the life of the tag.

This is the combination we recommend most often for premium retail products, where the tag is part of the unboxing.

Chipboard letterpress hang tags printed in black ink

Chipboard. Black ink. Honest materials.

Chipboard is a recycled board with a warm, natural color and a fibrous surface that takes a letterpress impression beautifully. Paired with black ink, it reads as honest and unfussy — a fit for goods that lean handmade, agricultural, or industrial.

We can run as few as 25 tags or as many as several thousand. If you're not sure where to start, tell us about the product and we'll help you find a paper, ink, and finish that suits it.
